Night Senior Care Worker

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Care Worker to join our team at Lymehurst, who will be able to lead night shifts. 

 

About the role

As a Senior Care Worker you will be responsible for the smooth running of the shift and will assign specific tasks to the care workers and monitor their completion. Your role will require you to administer medication to our residents and to record notes fully. You will develop, review and update residents’ personal care plan to meet their changing physical, social and psychological needs.

Your role will require you to liaise with managers to ensure high standards of care are adhered to and promoted. You will be required to be approachable and professional at all times.

 

About you

We’re looking for a caring and compassionate individual who can manage a team, solve problems, show good judgement and communicate with all sorts of people.

For this role, successful candidates will have:

  • NVQ 2 & 3 in Health and Social Care desirable or a willingness to undertake the qualification
  • You’ll have at least one year’s experience in residential care.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Medication administration training or/and a willingness to undertake training if required
  • Demonstration of proficiency in computer skills.
  • You will be required to be flexible and be able to cover annual leave. Shifts are based on a two weekly rota. 
  • Shift patterns are 20:00 8:00
