Care Services

Currently we offer care for people aged 60+. We also have beds for EMI (Elderly Mentally Ill); those suffering with dementia and alzheimers. Residents interested in staying at Lymehurst are encouraged to visit the home to sample the atmosphere, giving them time to get to know staff and other fellow residents first, before before taking permanent residency. The home’s visiting policy will always be adapted to the changing conditions concerning the spread of Covid-19 and the associated Government policies and guidance. The current policy reflects government guidance with effect from 25th February 2022. Please refer to our current policy for further information.

Assisting with meal times, dressing, medication and personal hygiene, in our friendly communal home.

Dementia Care

Also known as EMI; Elderly Mentally Infirm, with fully qualified staff, to care for those with dementia.

Respite & Recovery care

For those who may need time to recover post-operation, or for when carers may need to take a well-earned rest.

Disability care

Our home is fully accessible, with hand rails through and a stair lift.

End-of-life care

We will assist with end-of-life care, and be there to support you through this emotional time.

Our Rooms

At Lymehurst we have thirty-three rooms (thirty single rooms & three double rooms), which are tastefully decorated and personalised by the residents, to create their own homely feel. Lymehurst has had two grand extensions built with ten rooms in one and twelve rooms in the newest extension. All of the rooms in the extensions are en-suite and contain all of the luxuries needed. Residents also have the option to have individual phone numbers, helping them to maintain their independence. We think it is these little touches that make residents feel at home here at Lymehurst.

Facilities & Amenities

All recently built rooms are elegantly furnished to include pine furniture, en suites with hand basins, toilets, smoke detectors, aerial sockets, phone sockets and nurse call bells for 24hr assistance. There are hand rails throughout the corridors to assist residents with mobility around the home and a stair lift, making Lymehurst fully accessible for all. Existing bedrooms offer a very comfortable environment and are fitted with the necessary amenities. We also have the option of double rooms for people wanting to share, or for couples who would like to stay with us here at Lymehurst.

Lengths of Stay

We hope to make Lymehurst Rest Home feel like home. We offer long-term stays and short-term, including respite care. We aim to provide all of our residents with 24hr care in a secure, relaxed and homely environment in which their care, well being and comfort are of our prime importance.

Sometimes you may need a short-term stay, should this be following an operation or recovering from a stay in hospital. Maybe you are a carer and planning some time away; this option would be ideal for you and your loved one.

Our Kitchen

Nutritious and Delicious

Our excellent kitchen team provides freshly made home-cooked meals, using locally sourced ingredients. Our chefs design their menu, based on what our residents enjoy eating the most, together with a careful balance of nutritious foods. We are proud to support our local milkman and butcher too.

Activities

Staying Active and Engaged

We provide a full activities programme for you to take part in should you so wish. Our activities coordinator organises entertainment such as bingo games, musical sing alongs, card games and crafts. There is always something to do to keep everyone active, engaged and entertained.
